Hi all,

This last week we made a big step and did a full print run of the Infernal Pact under our new label Split Decision Comics.  It looks pretty damn beautiful and we also tested the glow-in-the-dark UV treatment we'll be using on the Whore of Babylon cover. The results are fantastic.  For all of you that added the infernal Pact as an add-on, you have not missed out on anything.  You have an extremely limited "print on demand book" and they are now sold out. As an extra and because I know how important it is to have a complete, matching set, you will receive a FREE additional copy of this glow-in-the-dark Infernal Pact which will ship with Whore of Babylon. Hooray!

If you've somehow missed out on this graphic novel, now is the time to get on board. It is now available on my Backerkit pre-order page. All new orders will begin shipping in late September.

DRAWING BLOOD

My SPLIT DECISION COMICS studio mate and friend Ben Bishop (the AGGREGATE) has hours left on his campaign for Drawing Blood.  If you haven't checked it out now's the time before the clock runs out.  The project looks great and Ben is working with Comic legend Kevin Eastman (creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Take a second and please check out the project.  It has a lot of great rewards left. www.drawingbloodcomic.com

I'm ending today on a serious note. Hurricane Harvey has been devastating parts of Texas and Louisiana. For those of you that know me personally, you know I grew up down south and have family and friends there. I also see that we have a few backers here from that area of the country. If you have the means, I am attaching several links to places below that have a solid reputation and that are using funds to give aid, food, and shelter to hurricane victims.

Drawing Blood and other news.
over 6 years ago – Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 07:25:59 AM

Hi all,

I am still creating the interiors for Whore of Babylon and I can honestly say it's the best work I think I have ever done. I have met with Marvel, DC, and Valiant comics this year showing them content (from whore of Babylon) and getting pretty good feedback. With that feedback I have been able to go into this project and make adjustments and improvements to the artwork.  That being said the content itself is far too "adult" for any mainstream publisher to have an interest in picking it up. But that's the beauty of crowd sourcing...I don't need a publisher.  While the process of making this book has been slow I am still confident the initial artwork will be completed on time and I am looking into finding a colorist to possibly speed up the process of our final product.

In July three other creators (Ben Bishop: the AGGREGATE, Ryan Wing: the October Ghost, and Dylan Andrews: ARCHIVE the WarHood Odyssey) and myself got together and started our own studio called Split Decision Comics. We are using this currently as an umbrella to promote each others work and create a sort of imprint under which we will be working for the next year.

DRAWING BLOOD

Right now one of our creators, Ben Bishop, and Kevin Eastman (co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) have a Kickstarter running called Drawing Blood.  I've been watching Ben produce a lot of amazing content for this book and I would like everyone to please take a moment and click here to check out what they are doing.  They have a little under two weeks left for their Kickstarter and could use an extra boost to help them meet the 100 percent backing they need to help make this book come to life.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.  I'll be in Vermont this weekend at Vermont comic con.  If you are attending stop by and say hi.  I'm always ready to talk comics and show pages that I'm working on.  Talk to you all again soon.

Gerywulff and the Wreckage
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jul 06, 2017 at 09:01:05 PM

Hi all,

This update is strictly for another Kickstarter that is currently running.  My buddy Noah Sult is working on Gerywulff and the Wreckage comic two pack with comic artist Kevin Sharpeare.  This Campaign is more than half way funded and they just need an extra boost to put them over the top.

Noah Sult is a cool shit and these two stories looks pretty damn cool. They got some great rewards to choose from and any amount backed is welcome.  I chose the $20.00 both book basic (thats both books signed and numbered). If he doesn't reach his goal he gets nothing...and that would suck and he probably be very sad.

So please take a moment and check out the project today!

Quick Update
almost 7 years ago – Tue, Jun 27, 2017 at 01:16:18 PM

Hi all,

It's been a bit since I gave you all a heads up on the progress of the book.  I'm currently finishing up inks on Chapter One of our five chapter story.  Things are still on track to have this book ready for completion before the end of this year.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.  In the meantime, you will be able to ask me questions directly this year at Boston Comic Con, Vermont Comic Con, and Great Falls Comic Con (Lewiston, ME).

Hope you all are having a great summer and since you all seem to like Grindhouse and horror, might I suggest filling your summer viewing with the SyFy show Blood Drive?  Watched the first episode the other day and it's filled with all the things I love about the genre.
